Paula Jean Wright, a long term resident of rural Marland and Ponca City, entered Heaven on Monday June 5th, 2023. Paula was born November 14th, 1949, in Ark City to Dale James (Jack) Dye and Anna Grace Dye. She graduated high school from Ponca City High School in 1968. She attended Northern Oklahoma College, worked for ADPC, held various positions at Garfield & Frontier Elementary, Pioneer Bank, owned Designer Originals, and her family’s favorite – The Parlour.

Paula married the love of her life, Everette (E.W.) Wright, on January 7, 1977, at Ranch Drive Baptist Church. Paula and E.W. spent many years camping, riding their motorcycle, and enjoyed any chance they got with their grandchildren. Paula strived to be a great mother and grandmother. She loved reading a good book, crossword puzzles, and every type of shopping. She enjoyed supporting her grandkids in everything they did and treated all their friends as her own.

Paula is survived by her daughters Jessica Wright and Brooke Pryse. Six grandchildren: Breanne Dyer, Victoria Porter and husband Luke Porter, Landen Noble and wife Julia Noble, and Hannah Dyer. She is also survived by her sisters Virginia Wells and husband Deuane, brother-in-law Irvin Lee Wright and wife Nancy, brother in-law Charles Glover and wife Cheryl, and sister- in-law Sharon Luis. She is survived by her Aunt Fern Lively and various cousins, friends, and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her Husband E.W., her parents, her mother and father-in law, her brother Jimmy, brother-in law Lonnie Glover, brother in-law Bob Luis and one unborn child.

The above obituary was written by her granddaughter Breanne Dyer with the help of all her loved ones.

Her daughters and grandchildren would like to add how amazing of a Mom and G-ma she was. She loved whole-heartedly and brought us so much joy. We find comfort in knowing she is reunited with the love of her life whom she missed dearly since his passing.

Paula’s celebration of life will be at Woodlands Christian Church on Friday June 9th, 2023 at 11:00am. Flowers may be sent to her daughters home at 2805 Meadow Lane in Ponca City to be taken to the funeral.
