Three days. Three very long days.
That’s how long it took 23-year-old C.J. Bowker to fly from Ponca City to every airport in the State of Oklahoma.
Bowker, a 2014 Po-Hi graduate, decided last December to give it a try after his father, James Bowker, suggested he land in one airport in each of Oklahoma’s 77 counties.
That morphed into landing at every paved, public, non-military airport in the state. All 123 of of them. Oklahoma has a total of 149 airports, but besides the military-only airports, there are also a number of unpaved, grass-strip airports.

State environmental regulators said they’re investigating what has occurred at Arcadia Bluffs, where a round of golf on the course overlooking the northeastern shore of the lake costs $215 during the peak summer season. A beverage cart employee said she was fired for discouraging players from hitting balls into the lake.
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Mike Trout is back in the Los Angeles Angels lineup after missing the previous three games due to a mildly strained right calf.
The two-time AL MVP will be the designated hitter Thursday when the Angels complete a four-game series against the Houston Astros. He leads the league in home runs (30) and RBIs (75) along with a .305 batting average, which is ninth.
Trout suffered the injury during Sunday’s game against Seattle. Prior to the injury, he had eight home runs in seven games.
CHICAGO (AP) — Michigan hasn’t played a game outside the United States in more than a century but coach Jim Harbaugh said that will change soon.

“We’re close to announcing playing a team on foreign soil,” he said Friday at Big Ten media days. “I think there’s something imminent; an announcement soon on that.”
