Dorsey and Lauren Payne of Ponca City announce the engagement of their daughter, Victoria Anne, to Scott Dickerson Lawrence, son of Carolyn and Patrick Farris of Oklahoma City and Chip and Barbara Lawrence of Kansas City, Kan. The couple plan a July 10 wedding at University Christian Church in Fort Worth, Texas.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Imogene Young of Tulsa and the late Jack Young and Bette Payne of Perry and the late Lloyd Payne. She is a 2004 graduate of Ponca City High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in fashion merchandising at Texas Christian University. She is a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

Victoria is employed as an Army and Air Force Exchange Allocater Specialist in Dallas.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Louise Lawrence of Hilton Head, S.C. as well as George Lawrence, Alline Noble and Charles Noble, all deceased. Scott is a graduate of Heritage Hall High School in Oklahoma City and a 2007 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in political science. He is an instructor with Kaplan Test Preparation Services in Fort Worth.
