Lee Evans is this year’s honoree at the annual Pioneer Technology Center Roast, which raises funds for student scholarships.
This year’s event will be held Thursday, April 20 at the American Legion.
The tickets are $50 and may be purchased at the PTC website at www.pioneertech.edu with a credit card, or by calling 718-4234. Tables of eight are selling in advance for $500. The event sells out annually.
The social for the event begins at 5:45 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by the roast.
Evans is president of Evans and Associates, a multi-enterprise company associated with road construction and concrete delivery.
Currently, Evans is serving a six-year term on the Judicial Nominating Committee, appointed by Gov. Mary Fallin. This select committee fills vacancies on the Supreme Court, Court of Criminal Appeals Court of Appeals, the Court of Appeals District and Associate judgeships and Workers Comp Court.
A local civic leader, Evans is a past chairman of the Ponca City Area Chamber of Commerce and Ponca City Development Authority. He is currently serving another term on the PCDA as a trustee. Evans was honored as the Chamber Outstanding Citizen, serves on the RCB Bank Board and on an advisory board of the University Center Foundation.
Evans has a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University with a major in both finance and accounting and a master’s in business administration from East Texas State University.
Lee and his wife Laura have one son Lee Jr., also a graduate of OSU.
