The Ponca City Police Department is conducting investigations regarding a rash of vandalism reports over the weekend, with numerous calls coming in reporting windows broken out of vehicles and buildings.
The Communications Center received a total of nine reports, beginning at 3:26 a.m. Sunday and stretching throughout the day, of glass broken out of numerous parked vehicles.
An officer responding to a report at 8:53 a.m. of a window broken out of the back door of a business located in the 2100 block of North 14th Street also found that two vehicles parked at the location had glass breakage, with some indications that those windows may have been shot out.
Police spokesperson Sherry Bowers said that the Department is following up on leads in response to the vandalism.
