ARKANSAS CITY — Members of the Cowley College soccer squads teamed with the Ark City Youth Soccer Association to conduct the ninth annual soccer clinic Saturday, March 4 at the Travis Hafner Training Center.
A record number of 122 participants took part in the clinic, with 77 pre-kindergarten through second graders taking part in the first session and 45 third through eighth graders attending the second session.
“It was a great turnout,” Cowley men’s head coach Roberto Dos Santos said. “Our student-athletes enjoyed working with the kids in the community.”
Robert Gill, vice president of the Ark City Youth Soccer Association, enjoys teaming with the Cowley soccer programs to put on this worthwhile clinic.
“It is a benefit for Cowley’s players and our youth soccer players,” Gill said. “The kids left the clinic excited about soccer and will remember the players that worked with them.”
